Trade Facilitation Agreement Text
4.1 Members strive to establish or maintain a single time window allowing economic operators to provide participating authorities or agencies with documents and/or data requirements for the importation, export or transit of goods through a single port of entry. After reviewing the documentation and/or data by the relevant authorities or agencies, the results are communicated to applicants in a timely manner through the single window. 4.2 Each member designs and applies risk management in such a way as to avoid arbitrary or unjustified discrimination or disguised restrictions on international trade. 2.3 Members are invited to provide other information related to internet commerce, including relevant trade-related legislation and other items mentioned in paragraph 1.1. (ii) for least developed countries, the expanded integrated framework for trade assistance to least developed countries should be part of this coordination process; and the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) came into force on 22 February 2017. This is the result of the Doha round of trade negotiations launched in 2001. The text of the TFA was adopted by WTO members at the 9th Ministerial Conference in Bali on 3 and 6 December 2013. The agreement entered into force in accordance with Article X:3 of the WTO agreement and members must individually accept the amendment to the WTO agreement by tabling an instrument for accepting the amendment protocol adopted on 27 November 2014. The Trade Facilitation Agreement is aimed at WTO members: 3. Members of developing and least developed countries who wish to receive trade assistance and capacity-building support provide the Committee with information on the points of contact of the or offices responsible for coordinating and prioritizing this aid and assistance. Section III contains institutional and final provisions on relations with other WTO agreements, the post-entry membership process of the agreement, the WTO Trade Facilitation Committee and the national trade facilitation committees to be set up in all WTO member states.
